Microsoft is ending support for Internet Explorer from June 15 2022

You may already know that Microsoft is ending support for their Internet Explorer browser from 15th June 2022 and recommends using Edge as their default browser. You can continue to use IE, it will not receive any security updates from Microsoft in future.

Webcare supports all modern browsers including Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and browsers in Android and iOS.

If you are using advanced IE features such as uploading multiple documents and editing Microsoft Office documents directly in Webcare without the need to download it first, then you can continue to use these features in the Edge browser.

The good news is that Microsoft has added 'Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge'. This is a one-off setting on your Edge browser, allowing you to upload multiple documents and edit Office documents.

Since you have everything already set up with Internet Explorer, all the settings should automatically migrate to the Edge.

This includes settings for the Intranet site and Trusted site.

Just to be sure:

  1. Check that Webcare is added as a Trusted site on your Internet Explorer.

  2. Follow these steps to enable IE mode in Edge →

More information is also available on the Microsoft website.

If you have any problems after completing these steps, please contact us via the helpsite.
